Swine flu case resistant to Tamiflu
A Danish person suffering from swine flu did not respond to treatment from Tamiflu, according to reports.
The patient was the first person to be found with a drug-resistant form of the disease, although they have since recovered.
However, experts have been heartened by the fact that only one case of resistance has appeared so far.
Common flu can also develop a resistance to Tamiflu and experts had expected H1N1 to also show resistance in some cases.
In the UK, a third swine flu patient died earlier in the week, although doctors have been quick to point out that, like the previous two fatalities, the person had underlying medical conditions.
British doctors have also warned against holding so-called "swine flu parties", where people try to get the virus now, rather than during the winter.
Dr Richard Jarvis, chairman of the British Medical Association's public health committee, warned that these parties could hinder the fight against the spread of the disease.
