Gates Award Winners Share Experiences

Symposium held in Washington DC

The prestigious Gates Award for Global Health recognises organizations that have made an outstanding contribution to global health. The seven award winners met in Washington in November to share their experiences and ideas on how to improve the health of the world's most vulnerable people. The symposium brought together key policy-makers and global health professionals with previous winners from Thailand's Population and Community Development Association, The Carter Center, African Medical Research Foundation, Bangladesh's BRAC, the Brazilian National AIDS Program, Rotary Foundation International, and the Center for Health and Population Research.
