Why the most-at-risk populations aren’t getting the care they need

The location of the International AIDS Conference 2010 in Vienna meant focus was drawn to the HIV/AIDS situation in Eastern Europe. The Global Health Council hosted a session at the event, drawing in experts from Romania, Russia and Moldova. Attendees learned why injecting drug users and sex workers are among the most-at-risk groups for HIV infection in Eastern Europe and why so little government policy targets them. While the Moldovan health minister had a lot of positive news from the efforts there, others were not so optimistic. Global Health TV talks to the experts and brings you this report.
