Gates Award for Global Health 2006 Winner: The Carter Center

Remembering the Forgotten Diseases

The Carter Center works to eradicate neglected and forgotten diseases, including Trachoma, Guinea Worm, River Blindness and Lymphatic Filariasis. The Center's important work was recognised in 2006 when it won the Gates Award for Global Health. As Guinea Worm is reportedly close to eradication, Global Health TV caught up with Center director, Prof. David Sack, and asked what the organization can share with others struggling to bring diseases to an end.
