Humanitarian Crisis in Kenya

AMREF

The African Medical & Research Foundation (AMREF) is the continent's leading health development organisation. AMREF has offices in 5 Eastern and Southern African countries: Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda and field offices in Somalia and Sudan. They train health professionals from countries all over the African Continent and 97% of their staff is African. As the humanitarian crisis in Kenya continues, AMREF's activities are focused on the people living in camps for internally displaced persons (IDPs) across the country and those people still living in the communities around the camps who have also been caught up in violence Louise Orton from AMREF UK describes how the organization is part of a co-coordinated action to alleviate this crisis.
