Neglected diseases such as Chagas, Leishmaniasis and Sleeping Sickness affect millions of people across Africa, Asia and Latin America. According to the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi), with the development of new tools, control and elimination of such diseases is possible. Global Health TV talks with Bernard Pécoul, Executive Director of DNDi, who tells us about the short and long-term strategies being developed in partnership with governments and pharmaceutical companies. He says that delivery of treatment and prevention programs at the village level is critical to eliminating these devastating diseases.
