Interview with William Jean Pape, GHESKIO

Groupe Haïtien d’Étude du Sarcome de Kaposi et des Infectieuses Opportunistes – otherwise known as GHESKIO – has been working for nearly 30 years on HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention in Haiti. The organization was also quick to act when an earthquake devastated the country in January. For these reasons GHESKIO has been awarded the Gates Award for Global Health for 2010. The high-profile award gives $US1m to a global health organization each year. GHESKIO’s founder William Jean Pape talks to Global Health TV about what winning the award means.
