Improving Health Outcomes for Mothers, Newborns and Children
USAID and MCHIP
In places where health services are weak or nonexistent it means that the spread of disease is unchecked, illnesses are untreated, and women give birth alone. This causes families to suffer, breadwinners to die prematurely, and communities to unravel. There's an international effort to address the health and wellness of mothers, newborns and children and as this effort gains momentum, the U.S. Government will continue to work with partner countries to improve health outcomes. This film looks at USAID's investment in maternal and new born child health.
