Global Health TV, produced by WebsEdge/Health, brings the global health community together. Through the power of online television we share inspiring stories on the work being done around the world to tackle HIV, AIDS, TB, Malaria and other diseases, build health systems and reduce infant and maternal mortality. Global Health TV shows that there is hope for a brighter, healthier future.
Making Pregnancy and Delivery Safer for Women
CARE International
Every minute of every day, a woman dies during pregnancy or childbirth. These deaths disproportionately afflict the most vulnerable women and children in the poorest countries. By working with a global coalition of public and private partners, CARE plans to make pregnancy and delivery safer for 30 million women in Africa, Asia and Latin America by 2015. Global Health TV looks at CARE's work in the southern highlands of Peru and Sierra Leone to cut maternal deaths.
