Partnerships: The Key to Defeating Malaria
Medicines for Malaria Venture
At the end of the last century malaria deaths were rising steeply. In Africa, a young child dies from the disease every 30 seconds. The malaria parasite became too resistant to once effective drugs and in response, Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV) was formed. MMV recognizes the power of partnerships and that its vision of a malaria-free world can only be achieved through collaboration with diverse organizations. MMV works with over 130 partners, in areas from R&D to making new medicines accessible. Global Health TV finds out why the pride themselves on such collaborations.
