Save The Children highlights failure to reduce child mortality
Charity claims 4 million lives could have been saved
Ahead of the UN Millennium Development Goals Summit in New York, the charity Save The Children has released a damning report, A Fair Chance At Life, claiming that measures aimed at reducing child deaths have put too much emphasis on better-off communities at the expense of the poorest. With only 5 years to go, MDG 4 - the goal to reduce child mortality by two-thirds - is still a long way off target.
Patrick Watt, Director of Development Policy at Save the Children talks to Global Health TV about what they are witnessing in the field and calls on world leaders to prioritise all children, regardless of background.
